Here's the understatement of the day: Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Missouri, had some negative things to say about executives receiving bonuses with federal bailout money.
How negative?
"We have a bunch of idiots on Wall Street that are kicking sand in the face of the American taxpayer," McCaskill said.
Here's a video link of McCaskill's remarks.
Does this mean Sen. McCaskill will limit her husband's - and hers - income to that of the President? Her husband has made quite the living off the taxpayers - making an ungodly sum of money at our expense - so he should be limited as well.
She would probably say it isn't bail out money that she - uh I mean her husband - takes from the taxpayers. I say - taxpayer dollars are taxpayer dollars. If it is a good idea to limit CEO compensation - then it is a good idea to limit Sen. McCaskill's husband's compensation.
Much better idea is to not give any bail out money to anybody. Stop the raping of the public treasury - enslaving us for generations to come.
